Day 01 : Airport/Railway to Gangtok(120 km in 5 hrs)
Arrival at (IXB) Bagdogra / (PYG) Pakyong Airport / (NJP) New Jalpaiguri Railway station. On arrival Northeast Trip Planner representative will escort you towards your vehicle for your onward Journey to Gangtok .Through your trip to Gangtok stop at coronation bridge build in 1941 to click some photos. 6 km from Teesta bazaar is small settlement called Melli. Melli is the place for river rafting. Later cross the Rangpo Check and entry the beautiful state sikkim. After reaching Gangtok, check in the hotel.Evening is free to roam arround on your own. Day 02 : Gangtok to Lachen(120 km in 5hrs)
After breakfast drive towards the Lachen a village surrounded by snow capped peaks and beautiful alpine meadows. Take a halt for some refreshment at Chungthang confluence. After reaching Lachen check in hotel. Evening is free to roam on your own.Overnight stay at Lachen.
Day 03 : Gurudongmaar Lake excursion and transfer to Lachung (50 km in 02hrs)
Early morning drive to beautiful Glacier lake known as Gurudongmaar Lake. Its a highest lake in the world. It is considered sacred by Buddhists, Sikhs and Hindus. Indian tourists are allowed to visit the lake, foreigners need to get a special permit from the Ministry of Home Affairs in Delhi. Because the lake remained frozen most of the year with no possibility of providing for drinking water needs, the people of the area appealed to Padmasambhava to help them. The guru agreed to help and placed his hands on a small part of the lake area, which stopped freezing during winter, facilitating drinking water to the people. Since then, the lake has been considered sacred and devotees carry this sacred water in containers.Later return to hotel have your delicious lunch at hotel. Check out and drive towards Lachung via Chungthang confluence.After reaching Lachung check in hotel .Evening is free to roam on your own. Overnight stay at Lachung.
Day : 04 Yumthang valley & hot spring excursrion
After breakfast move toward the valley of flowers Yumthang valley 40 km and hour drive from Lachung. Places to visit in Lachung are Lachung Monastery, Shiv Mandir & beautiful Yumthang Valley. During winter the full valley is undercovered with snow and in other season full with multi-coloured meadows of Primula, Rhododendron, other alpine flowers. In ther afternoon return to hotel an complete your tasty lunch. Drive back to Gangtok. Evening check in hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day: 05 Gangtok to Airport / Railway station (120 km in 5 hrs)
After breakfast check out of your hotel and travel back to Bagdogra airport/NJP railway for your onward journey. As you go home the sweet & everlasting memory of Northeast Trip Planner in your mind and prompt you now and again to revisit this place.
